Our success is directly related to the value we create for our clients. Truly independent, we are free to lend out as much of our clients’ stock as possible without inherent conflicts of interest, as is the challenge with most traditional service providers whose securities lending desks have links to asset managers.

As a Level 1 BBB-EE service provider, our clients benefit from the scorecard advantage when it comes to procurement. In addition, our Foundation - which administers our bursary scheme - is a broad-based profit participant in Envisionit Capital Solutions.

Backed by Peregrine.
Our representation of our clients’ interests is based on the firm foundation of our integrity and expertise, as well as the rock-solid backing of Peregrine.

With a deep understanding of the risks associated with securities lending transactions.

Everything we do is guided by the values we hold dear: innovation, integrity and the desire to invest in South Africa.

Everything we do is guided by the values we hold dear: innovation, integrity and the desire to invest in South Africa’s socio-economic development.

These are our services:

In delivering our services, Envisionit operates:

  • The first and only independent and empowered securities lending business in Africa
  • A joint venture with 27Four Investment Managers on the Cash Optimiser Money Market Fund

Money Market: 27Four Cash Optimiser Fund & 27Four Income Optimiser Unit Trust

Designed with hedge funds in mind, these funds enhance the return of unencumbered cash within a hedge fund's overall portfolio, while offering daily liquidity and reducing credit risk.

The fund is seeing increasing interest from both corporations and high net worth individuals, who enjoy seeing their surplus cash grow whilst having daily access to their funds.

With assets under management of R600m we hope to grow the fund to R1bn in the near future.

Securities/Scrip Lending Solutions

As South Africa’s first and only independent and empowered securities lending desk, backed by a financial guarantee, we are known for our ability to source sought-after stocks. Designed to cater to the growing scrip lending appetite of local hedge funds, our clients include stockbrokers, equity structuring desks and the country’s top scrip lending desks.

With assets under management in excess of R3.5bn, we plan to sign additional pension funds as we continue to lead the transformation of South Africa’s financial services industry.

Private Equity/ Equity Structuring Investments

Envisionit excels in creating bespoke structuring solutions and providing advisory services for complex structures and transactions, which typically involve equity components. We do:

  • Equity-linked funding: Hybrid capital raising, embedded-equity loans and private placements
  • BEE transactions
  • Equity hedging
  • Share incentive scheme hedging
  • Capital raising – Listed & Unlisted SA companies
  • Advisory services

The value of transactions concluded is estimated at R700m.

Collateral Management

In response to the global financial crisis and regulatory pressure, an increasing proportion of OTC transactions are being transacted through central counterparties. Envisionit works with banks, hedge funds and asset managers to enhance their collateral management functions in order to design and deliver industry best practice.

Hedge Funds Consulting Transition Management

Envisionit Transition is an independent, unbiased transition specialist in the institutional fund industry. Therefore, we do not affiliate with any investment manager, stockbroker or bank.

Paying It Forward

Envisionit’s Foundation, which administers the Envisionit Bursary Foundation, is a broad-based profit participant in Envisionit Capital Solutions.

Established in 2011 and currently sponsoring the tertiary education of 20 students, the scheme is also funded by many of our partners, individual clients and employees.

Unlike some non-profit organisations, the tax-exempted scheme operates on the basis that 100% of its donations goes to the students it benefits.

In turn, as the beneficiaries complete their studies, they are not only assisted with the first steps towards starting their new careers, but they are also challenged to help others in the way that they have been empowered.

Envisionit Lifestyle Group

Half a century ago, fashion designer Coco Chanel asserted that fashion transcends products. “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only,” she said. “Fashion is in the sky, in the street”.

“Fashion has to do with ideas, with the way we live.” Fashion, she suggested, is part of a lifestyle. At Envisionit we believe the same to be true for Entrepreneurship and in keeping with this philosophy we created Envisionit Lifestyle Group.

Envisionit Lifestyle Group currently co owns the Johannesburg territory licence and Hyde Park/ Craighall tapas bar and restaurant for Vicky Cristina’s.
